6th piece

 

materials: pen, a book, photographs, colored paper

ideas: Using this at my final piece, I want to show how when I’ve come to terms with the difficulties in my life, I’ve overcome a sort of darkness and have let light into my mind. The butterflies are a symbol of freedom and I wanted to use them to show freedom in my own life.

processes: I took an old picture of me, cut my face in half, then glued the pink circle and yellow rays in the middle. I then ripped out words from a book I felt fit, and drew butterflies and cut them out and glued them coming out.

  Materials: book, photography, glue Process: I cut out the middle of the pages to add depth and then I used the parts I cut out to add butterflies and flowers.  Ideas: I wanted to sort of show the butterflies flying out of the book. Since butterflies and flowers have been key idems in many of my other pieces, I felt like I should add them here as well to show a sort of release or freedom from the “doom” that I’m feeling.
